This course builds on the cybersecurity know-how in the ISO/SAE 21434 framework to detail the cybersecurity controls required for Over-The-Air software update implementations in the software defined vehicle context.

Primarily the course deals with security implementation on edge in the embedded code, focusing on use cases typically found in over- the-air updates application and the automotive context. The course conducts an analysis starting from the system-level  overview (retouching TARA, security requirements and threat modeling), and then dissects secure architecture, secure coding and security assessment in detail. The goal is to address all the caveats of OTA cybersecurity in the software defined vehicle (SDV) context.

Requirements

Software: Chrome browser.
Hardware: Computer with an Internet connection, working speakers, and microphone.
Prior knowledge: Students should have basic engineering background, and preferably software background and knowledge of at least one programming language.
