NIT brings together people with academic and industrial experience to work on difficult software and systems challenges. We support companies through engineering projects, specialist advice, ready-to-apply solutions and focused development of their teams.
From academic research to industry projects
Our background
NIT began as a spin-off from the Faculty of Technical Sciences at the University of Novi Sad. Early work connected researchers and engineers with industrial partners in consumer electronics, digital television, embedded computing and audio technologies, including cooperation with academic and research organizations in Europe.
That combination of technical depth and practical delivery still defines our work. As software became central to vehicles, machines and connected devices, NIT's expertise broadened into automotive engineering, artificial intelligence, system safety, cybersecurity and software engineering processes.
Today, NIT operates across engineering, consultancy, research and education. Rather than treating these as separate activities, we use experience from real projects to inform training and use research and engineering methods to address problems that are not solved by off-the-shelf knowledge alone.

Selected NIT Academy programs in automotive functional safety have been developed in collaboration with UC San Diego Extended Studies. Certification eligibility depends on the specific program.
