The course provides the overview of basic IoT concepts, architectures and communication technologies with the focus on powerful use cases on the edge.

The participants familiarize with MQTT protocol, which is nowadays widely used in various IoT applications. They learn to work with MQTT broker and client libraries, understand the publish/subscribe mechanism and MQTT topics structure, and finally, apply this knowledge to build their own IoT application. Advanced MQTT features such as QoS, shared topics and message retention are also covered, with the focus on the benefits they bring and potential performance impacts they may cause.

Requirements

Software: Chrome browser.
