We are excited to announce that NIT Institute is co-exhibiting with PIX Moving at the upcoming Paris Motor Show, taking place October 12–18, 2026, at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles (Hall 7.1, Booth 71C01).
NIT Institute is a Southeast Europe powerhouse specializing in automotive engineering, AI/ML safety and cybersecurity engineering, and upskilling/reskilling for engineers in modern software-first disciplines. Join us in Paris as we showcase our joint capabilities and host essential discussions on the future of autonomous transit.
Ride with Confidence: HowAutonomous Mobility Keeps Us Safe
During the exhibition, we will take the middle booth stage to present our dedicated session, "Ride with Confidence: How Autonomous Mobility Keeps Us Safe." The presentation will cover the safety case approach around the RoboBus, PixKit training, and general AI for Software-Defined Vehicles (SDVs). We are also eager to hold B2B meetings and host evening networking events to steer vital industry discussions where vehicle data, safety, and the upcoming Cyber Resilience Act (CRA) deadline in December 2027 come into play.
Fast-Track Safety, Homologation, and Deployment
The services we offer span turnkey homologation preparation for autonomous vehicle type approval, technical safety upgrade solutions, and expert AI/ML safety consultancy and deployment support. We provide full safety and cybersecurity certification across UNECE ADS, ISO 26262, ISO 21448, ISO 8800, NIS2, and ISO 21434, paired with structured upskill and transformation programs designed to help engineering teams master modern software, automotive, safety, and cybersecurity disciplines.

NIT Institute works with PIX and the Autoware Foundation on Autonomous Driving Development with Autoware & PIXKIT, a hands-on programme for autonomous-driving developers. It connects open-source software with real vehicle development through drive-by-wire platforms, ROS 2 and Autoware integration, testing and validation workflows, and industry-recognised certification.

Together with PixMoving and Autoware, NIT Academy has developed and rolled out a first of a kind Autonomous Driving training program delivered hands-on on an actual vehicle-size PixKit equipped with all the necessary sensors and software modules. Functioning as a one-stop shop for engineers learning to build and deploy safe autonomous vehicles, the program guides participants through the complete development lifecycle. Engineers work directly on sensor configuration for LiDAR, cameras, and IMUs, manage vehicle control interfaces, execute digital twin simulations in AWSim, and validate perception and planning algorithms on physical test tracks.
Pioneering RoboBus Micromobility in Southeast Europe
The wider collaboration also lays the groundwork for future autonomous mobility projects in Southeast Europe. It focuses on safety verification, technical optimisation, homologation preparation, and the local capabilities needed to support vehicle deployment and fleet management.
Applying these engineering capabilities to local infrastructure, NIT actively drives turnkey RoboBus micromobility projects across Southeast Europe. We manage the full vehicle lifecycle for regional communities, providing end-to-end support that includes vehicle procurement, local homologation, installation, ongoing maintenance, and fleet management. Together with an ecosystem of local partners and the University of Novi Sad in Serbia, the initiative establishes initial project deployments to assess operating conditions and shape appropriate deployment models for real-world micromobility. Through these efforts, we are establishing initial project deployments to bring safe, zero-emission autonomous shuttles to real-world use.
NIT sees the autonomous driving future as being safe and widely adopted, focusing the approach on proliferation of micromobility. Our approach includes systematic application of safety analysis, safety and automotive engineering with AI/ML application with safety case buildup which is presentable and easily defensible for any future homologation submission. As the global sector shifts from software experimentation toward software-defined vehicles and strict regulatory scrutiny, meeting rigorous compliance standards remains essential. By combining a deep engineering talent pool with flexible real-world testing environments, Southeast Europe is uniquely positioned to pioneer and scale these compliant, community-focused transit solutions.
